The Event Attracted Over 5,000 Visitors

The 2009 show, while retaining all the proven features such as health checks, golf and computer tuition, finance advice and pets guidance, will also contain special homes and gardens section and a Dunnes ‘Store’. Commented show organiser John Low: ‘We had a number of exhibitors at this year’s event promoting homes and gardens products such as water treatment devices, heaters, solar panels, pipe and drain services and bedding and  furniture, and all reported a positive response, so its logical to enlarge this category into a dedicated section of the show.Dunnes Stores had a very large stand and were so delighted with the interest in their range of products that they have decided to construct a ‘store’ at next year’s event, offering an extensive selection of their products, including clothing, food, furniture, household goods and Christmas decorations’.

According to Low, this year’s attendance was ‘slightly up’ on the 2007 event which attracted over 5,000 visitors, ‘and had to be regarded as a massive vote of confidence in the event, despite the very difficult economic climate’.

The Over 50s Show in Estepona has been mounted in various cities in Ireland for almost ten years.  S&L Promotions has over 20 years experience in organising exhibitions and events, ranging from food shows to recruitment fairs, to computing conferences to tented villages for major golf tournaments.

Added Low: ‘With the knock-on effect of the so-called credit crunch it is vital to be able to call on long-standing experience to ensure an event works for all concerned. One of the most important aspects, and the life blood of a successful event, is advertising and publicity and we embarked on an extensive campaign’.
