Rural Hotels Andalucia |
Spain & Andalucia |
Rural hotels in AndaluciaAndalucia's Rural Hotels have been usually been converted from old Spanish buildings which have been passed down from generation to generation, with very few changes. Hence, these countryside retreats maintain their distinct character. You will normally discover two types of rural rental property available in Andalucia, either “casas rurales,” paradors, or official guest houses. These can rage from large villas which are being rented out by private owners to official guesthouses or bed and breakfast accommodation, where you will be sharing facilities with other guests. In both cases, there will be a choice between staying within an old village itself, or outside the village in a truly rural retreat. Within the village, rural Andalucian accommodation will usually take the form of a white-washed townhouse, typical of Andalucian villages. There will be a chance to immerse yourself into village life and discover some of the history of southern Spain. However, a rural hotel such as a villa on the outskirts of the village will have more privacy and more countryside views. It depends on your personal preference. All areas from the Costa del Sol, up through the Costa Calida and to the Costa Blanca, are now capitalizing on a new found interest by tourists wanting to experience ‘real’ Spain, rather than a developed beach area style hotel. Bear in mind that facilities in rural areas may not be what you are used to back home, however, the unspoilt nature of rural areas in Spain makes for an exhilarating and unique experience, and spending some time there in a rural hotel or guest house in Andalucia is a far better option than merely a day trip through the village. |
