It was church Minister Luis Lezama who founded 1974 the first Restaurant in Madrid (La Taberna del Alabardero) and shortly after the “Alabardero Resort Hotel and Restaurant” in San Pedro de Alcántara sistertown of Marbella. As a social initiative and with the aim to mainly help young marginalized people, Luis Lezama founded the first gastronomic establishment, where youngsters were and are still employed to learn all about gastronomy and get a stable workplace in the company. Almost 30 years later, the Lezama Foundation Group employs 600 people worldwide. Well know is the “Café de Oriente” in front of the royal palace and next to the Opera House downtown Madrid, which used to be an antique press.
The four star Alabardero Resort Hotel & Restaurant on the Costa del Sol, offers all amenities of a first class Hotel.
