A Luxury Hotel in an Oasis of Calm at Sotogrande

NH Sotogrande is a single storey hotel whose modern design is crowned by a distinctive white pinnacle that dominates the low-reaching roofs. Inside the hotel, the interior design is essentially functional with wood and glass dominating. Many walls are almost entirely glass. Furniture and accessories are mainly red and white and the 110 rooms are split-level with the bathrooms located ‘upstairs’. Unusually for hotels near Marbella, the rooms at the NH Sotogrande don’t have balconies.

Outside, the gardens are also functional with an obvious zen influence in the layout of the plants and paths. The outdoor pool area has views of the surroundings and like the hotel generally, is an oasis of calm.

The NH Sotogrande’s location means that this is essentially a hotel to stay at if you want to get away from it all. It’s also ideal for keen golfers – after all, Andalucia’s top golf courses are minutes away. Families and those in search of Costa del Sol’s action may find the hotel a little sedate. However, if you want to sample the height of luxury, Sotogrande Marina – for many, the most luxurious resort on the Costa del Sol – is a short drive away.
