A laid back attitude
Most people agree that the Spanish, especially in Andalusia, are probably the most open and friendly people in the whole of Europe. Whether this is due to the sunshine, the great food, or the siestas (!) expats are always struck by the welcoming attitude of the people who live here.
Funny and demonstrative, the Spanish will warm to anyone who is willing to open their minds to new things and willing to accept a new culture.

About the Spaniards:

Most people find the Spanish to be very warm and giving. Obviously, every nationality in the world has its flaws, so what do expats living in Spain think, especially those in Andalucia? Here are some of their views (tell us if you’ve had a different experience of the Spanish).

“I like to have a good time, and they are very relaxed in their surroundings and in themselves.”

“Nobody offers hospitality like the people of Malaga, they receive us with open arms and I have never felt like an outsider for even a moment, in fact the complete opposite.”

“They are really friendly, and they speak good English, which is good because it makes it easy to communicate.”

“The Andalucians are very nice people. They are so friendly, helpful, amiable, affectionate and in particular, so happy.”“They are very authentic people, very generous and genuine, it’s fun to be with them.”

“The Andalucians are warm and happy, they welcome foreigners, and means that residents feel comfortable.”“Lovely people, and I think the men are very romantic.”“I like the Flamenco, the culture, the festivities, the wine, and the prawns! It’s different, it has that enchantment which is different from the rest of Spain.”
