Sotogrande is an exclusive residential development in the province of Cadiz, Andalucia and it has 3 main residential centres. There is the original concentration of large villas with extensive grounds and excellent infrastructure that occupy 80% of the surface area of Sotogrande. Then there is the “Marina” area and a number of complexes of apartments and smaller houses.
Then there is the “Marina” area which is inspired by traditional European fishing ports with apartments looking out to sea. And finally there is a number of complexes of apartments and smaller houses which supply the community with people to handle the maintenance services. This is basically the design of Sotogrande. It spreads across 2,000 hectares and there are now around 5,500 homes. When it is finished, the development will have a maximum of 8,000 homes. This implies a density of 4 homes per hectare, that is 4 homes for every 2,500 metres, which you can compare to any other area of residential development.
More about Sotogrande.
Right from the outset, the idea was to build an important marina next to the Guadiaro River, and in this way we could offer three attractive elements within the environment of Sotogrande: golf, polo and a marina, all of which are closely associated with a high quality lifestyle. Along with this, a highly novel system of infrastructure in the whole of Europe.
