When it comes to luxury tourist destinations on the Costa del Sol, Sotogrande has little competition. Sotogrande is set amongst 2,000 hectares of wonderful Andalusian countryside and it is situated at the far western end of the Costa del Sol. More glamorous than Marbella and decidedly classier than Puerto Banus, Sotogrande is in a style of its own. The Sotogrande Marina is worldwide leading luxury harbour. It is the place to be if you are golf and polo lovers.
NH Almenara :Top golf hotel on the Costa del Sol.
NH Sotogrande : Luxury 4 star hotel near Sotogrande golf courses.
Club Marítimo Sotogrande : Boutique hotel rigth on the marina.
Handy for Gibraltar airport, Sotogrande is also not far from Malaga´s airport. This prestigious development is known as Europe's leading luxury resort and Sotogrande offers peace, relaxation and tranquillity all within luxury surroundings.
A far cry from the bustling tourist destinations on the Costa del Sol, Sotogrande is a haven for the wealthy. Yet this isn’t somewhere to be ostentacious about your money – here wealth is low-key and usually enjoyed behind the closed walls of the many luxurious mansions that line this resort on the Costa del Sol.
Sotogrande Port is one of the most attractive marinas on the Costa del Sol (and Andalucia) and is built in Venetian style with the pastel low-rise apartments lining the port’s canals, home to a succession of luxury yachts and boats.
Sotogrande beaches are good (although the ones in nearby Estepona and Marbella are better) and best of all, quiet compared to most others.
Even sport is high end at Sotogrande – this luxury resort on the Costa del Sol boasts one of the world’s top polo clubs and Europe’s largest, and Sotogrande Polo Club hosts several important international competitions during the year. And then, of course, there’s the golf. Home to some of the best golf courses in Spain, Sotogrande offers more than 171 holes of golf at seven top courses. World-class courses such as Valderrama (host to the Ryder Cup and Volvo Masters), Almenara, Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, La Cañada, La Reserva and the San Roque Golf & Country Club, mean Sotogrande is quite simply the golfer’s paradise on the Costa del Sol.
