Costa de la Luz – A Natural Oasis of Calm

The Costa de la Luz is on the Andalusian Atlantic coast and runs from the Portuguese border in Huelva to Tarifa in Cadiz. The main internacional airports are Jerez and Seville to the north and, Gibraltar to the east.

The area’s exact population is difficult to measure, but it’s popular with residents and holidaymakers. Summers can be hot, but the Atlantic breeze cools things down. Expect mild winters, 300 days of sun and an average temperature of 22 degrees.

Unlike Spain’s Mediterranean coasts, the Costa de la Luz is practically unspoilt by mass tourism. It’s quiet and has kept its Spanish culture and charm. And here, you’ll find a warm welcome.

Beaches & Nature:
The Costa de la Luz’s main attraction are its beaches. Stretching 300km along the Atlantic coastline, the sandy beaches are endless and often very quiet. There are also several prime nature reserves with a rich variety of wildlife, some of it unique to the area.

Sports & Gastronomy:

Sports enthusiastics will love the Costa de la Luz. There’s a great choice of watersports centres and schools, and several excellent golf courses. While you’re here, try the local cuisine. Fresh fish and seafood are top of the menu, washed down with local sweet and dry wine.

In spite of its huge popularity, the Costa de la Luz still offers true Andalusian style, tranquility and stunning natural surroundings.
