Chiclana is a large town in the province of Cadiz. Nearest airports to the North, are at Jerez, 50km, and Seville, 135km. Closest beach is at 7 Km.

More than 76,000 people live in Chiclana. The town has a mild climate with plenty of sunshine, little rain and an average temperature of 19 degrees.

Chiclana has recently become an important tourist resort thanks to its beautiful and varied natural surroundings. Part of the town lies within the Cadiz Bay Natural Park and its scenery takes in dunes, beaches, pinewoods and salt marshes. The town itself is typically Andalucian with historic monuments, parks and markets.

La Barrosa Beach:
With its 8km of fine sand and clear water, the Barrosa beach is one of the main attractions. Part of the beach has beautiful dunes and cliffs and low-rise resort with good sports facilities.

Sancti Petri:
Further north is Sancti Petri with its marina and fishing port. Watersports such as sailing, windsurfing and surfing are popular here and a regular ferry runs trips along the coast. Offshore is Sancti Petri island with its Phoenician castle.

Wine & food:
Chiclana is a wine-producing region – visit one of the many wine cellars and taste the exceptional wine. Typical local food includes fresh fish, seafood, pork dishes and cakes.
